Our volunteers play a pivotal role and add great meaning to our Hospice experience in the interaction they have with the patient and their families/whanau. Whether it be with direct patient contact or working in our shops, our gardens or one of the other various roles filled by volunteers. They are the backbone to our charity and without them we could not provide the service we do.
People choose to volunteer for Hospice for many reasons and each person will get something rewarding but different from their experience.
From meeting new friends to the feel good feeling of giving back to your community, we get all sorts of positive feedback from our volunteers.
We offer full training and supervision to ensure you feel confident and supported.
